How long does the Medical Treatment for Metabolic Regulation last?
The duration of the treatment will depend on each patient’s metabolism, their continuity within the treatment, adherence to the diet, and compliance with the instructions given by our specialized medical staff. Adherence to these parameters guarantees short and long-term results.
Is it normal for the auricular points to fall off?
It is normal for them to fall off during the week. However, if more than 50% fall off within the first 48 hours, it is necessary to return to the office to have them replaced.
Constipation?
To avoid constipation, you should follow these recommendations:
- Your daily diet should consist of 70% vegetables (permitted vegetables) and 30% proteins (meats, sausages, pork rinds, ham, cheeses, eggs).

Why should the treatment not be combined with nutritional supplements, shakes, slimming pills, ampoules, hormones, etc.?
We want to prevent our patients’ metabolism from becoming accustomed to functioning due to external factors. Moreover, the treatment seeks to re-educate and regulate metabolism, allowing the construction of an energy-metabolic process in which the metabolic response to various stimuli is analyzed in each of our patients. What we are looking for is to learn how all foods should be consumed while maintaining weight after stabilization.
Why do I have to suspend fruits and flours?
Because they are foods of medium and high metabolic assimilation, and therefore during the first part of the treatment, they affect weight loss. Keep in mind that once you have reached your equilibrium weight, we will gradually reintroduce all food groups.
Can I chew Trident gum in the initial phase of treatment?
No, they are temporarily suspended.
What quantity of sausages can I eat?
The recommendation is to consume a maximum of one pound per week of sausages, of those you can choose the ones you want (from the permitted sausages). Avoid exceeding 30% of the recommended proteins in the diet throughout the day.
What is Auriculotherapy?
Auriculotherapy is a technique based on the stimulation of energy channels located in the auricular pavilion (the ear), placing magnetized spheres on specific points, in order to generate direct and indirect stimuli to various organs and systems of the body.
What can I eat between meals?
Between meals, you can consume sun-dried tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, bell peppers, olives, pickles, mushrooms, quail eggs, parmesan cheese, costeño cheese, pork leg ham, and serrano ham. Additionally, in our locations, we have recipe books where you will find practical and delicious preparations.
What can I do to avoid bad breath?
Halitosis is a frequent side effect associated with small mistakes during the execution of the treatment, indicating that perhaps you are consuming a very high amount of proteins (cheeses, sausages, pork rinds, ham, eggs, tuna) and few vegetables throughout the day. Therefore, to control it, you should start increasing your consumption of vegetables, especially cooked ones. Also, you should mention this to your treating doctor to evaluate the rate of weight loss or other symptoms associated with excess proteins in the blood, as it can be harmful to your health.
Can I exercise?
Yes, starting from the 2 – 3 week of treatment and only light to moderate cardiovascular exercise should be done for 30 to 60 minutes, not counting stretching and warming up times. Keep in mind that each metabolism is different, so we recommend discussing it with the treating doctor at NBC.
During the initial phase of our treatment, in addition to the foods that are in your food guide, the following foods are temporarily suspended:
Chia seeds, moringa, goji berries, acai, reishi, spelt, coconut oil, evening primrose oil, agar agar, chaga, fenugreek, garcinia cambogia, aronia berries, hemp seeds, baobab, pure cocoa, pomegranate, lucuma, camu camu, wheatgrass, noni, maca, lychee, ganoderma, rhubarb.
